Time Flies Faster When U're Not Having Fun

Oh wow, 3 more days to raya. This year's Ramadhan passed by way too fast. But yeah, it was a hectic month.

First there was the official annual stocktake. And for the 1st time in many many years, the auditors were very strict and thorough with their checkings. My guess were that, they were newbies. I was sweating balls running up and down the stairs during the stocktake. Cobaan!

And then, after all's done and I thought I could settle down & slowly catch up on oustanding work, boss dropped a bomb. Audit for last year's accounts, which fyi wasn't managed by me, has been brought forward to the following week. Which left me with only 3 working days to prepare.. NOOOOOO! Just as I was abt to panic, as luck have it, I opened up my files and ta-daa! Everything's done? Apparently, Ms-Kancheong-Plan-Ahead here had everything settled when I came back to work early this year. Oh what a huge relief! But still, we were grilled left and right by the same apek & nyonya newbie auditors who did our stocktake.

Then a day before audit was schdelued to start, sis was admitted into hospital. I received the news late and thot nothing much of it as she has been going in and out of hospital. Only when I saw her with my own eyes, I started to break down. Her condition in fact worsened by evening and she was transferred to ICU. Doctors told us to plan for the inevitable. But kita merancang, Tuhan yang menentukan. Alhamdullilah, she's still in hospital but she's much better now. I really hope she takes her health more seriously from now on. So yeah, I'm exhausted from making several visits to the hospital and meeting doctors, surgeons, and nurses. Now I'm waiting for the doctors to give her the green light for home leave during raya.

Home-wise, things have finally come together. It's in a horrid mess right now but our house is starting to look more like a home by the day. But the sickening sofa company is only coming on hari raya eve. Don't ask me what happened. I've lost count how many times I lost my temper this month.

But amidst all the sadness and anger, we managed to slot in some time for a weekend of hari raya shopping and family bonding in JB..

Here's wishing ya'll Selamat Hari Raya and my sincerest apologies if I have ever hurt your feelings in any way (I'm sure, it's not intentional..) Enjoy the long weekend and look out for an invite soon! :)
