I'm actually a bit clueless when it comes to choosing a home concept. I don't know what we want, really. But we're open to ideas. Just not those kayu jati furniture look with very complicated motifs or opulent sultan palace look with gold and bulky furnitures. I almost died when Wan's father asked if we wanted those kind of sofas. But whatever concept it is, it has to be practical and easy to maintain. I nicked some pictures off the net and here are some of my favourites. Unfortunately, these will never end up in our new home. I'll explain why.
Check out this vintage white sink! I love it especially against the turquoise cabinets. But ALL white? I give it at most 6 months before the poor sink turns yellow.

If you're into the café/bistro style, this chalkwall would be perfect for your kitchen. And if you're extremely good at drawings, that would be even better. You'll have different designs every day. Cool, but not practical isn't it? How do you eat in the kitchen with chalk dusts flying all over the place?

And for those who always wear black (like me), you might just get chalk on your clothes should you accidentally rub against the wall. And while, I'm open to ideas, I'm not sure about having a black wall in my kitchen. I can't take dark or small spaces. Claustrophobic!

This is SO colourful. But seriously la, you dun cook is it?? If you do, I'm sure you wouldn't want to display the backside of your pots and pans.
