Starting of a Family - 2nd Month; All Hail The Coke

I've found a cure to my morning sickness..

COKE! Yes, coca-cola!!

Whoever said it's just MORNING sickness?! Mine goes on 24 hours. I'm still puking just before bedtime. And it's horrible feeling giddy and nauseated all day along. Eating gives me temporary relief.. but at the most 1 hr. And then im back to puking again.

I read online and it's due to low blood sugar level during the 1st trimester that caused the nausea and giddiness. And I knew I have low blood sugar pre-pregnancy so now it's just worsened. Basically I constantly need to munch to keep up. But it's not as if I'm enjoying what I eat at this stage. Everything taste bland, even plain water taste funny. Honestly, I was getting worried because just last friday my morning sickness worsened and i puked in the office toilet, which is an attached bathroom. And I puked too loud, colleagues outside could hear me! And they were so sweet. They offered me chammomile tea and stuff. Of course, I din tell I'm pregnant :) The bigger problem was I puked every 2 hours and it's disturbing my concentration at work! Gynae gave me pills for nausea and vomitting but it makes me drowsy. This cannot go on!

Today, just so happen I felt like having nasi lemak for breakfast so wan and I headed down to Changi Village but as usual, nasi lemak today tasted funny. So I asked Wan to get me coke, to wash down the food and believe me, I'm not a coke fan. After taking sips, I suddenly felt SO MUCH BETTER! I continued to drink coke the entire day and I'm as chirpy as hell!! Yeah, i'm guessing there's loads of sugar in that coke. And not only I no longer feel nauseated, I could burp and fart! I had a gas build-up or bloating over the past few weeks, (that explains the protuding tummy) and poor Wan had to massage my tummy every night to ease the gas. COKE IS MY NEW BEST FRIEND!

Anyway, yesterday marked my 8th week into this pregnancy. Yay to the end of 2 months! 4 more weeks of suffering to go. Can't wait for my next ultrasound scan this Wednesday!
