It seems as the deadline draws nearer, we face a lot more challenges and obstacles.
Let's see.
1. After we did some digging and cleared the red ants' nest behind the kitchen cabinet door (eeeeeeewwwwwwwww), then out of nowhere, came the black ants! I went around the kitchen armed with Bygone and discovered that the black ants' nest was in fact NOT in the kitchen, but on the outside wall just next to the kitchen window. Got rid of the black ants and now, we have baby roaches. @$%@#$%#%^$ Gross!!
2. A few days ago, Wan was installing the kitchen ceiling lights. It was't easy because the previous owner DIY his way around the house and basically screwed up a lot of things including the entire house wiring. I don't want to judge that fella, but from the way things we left behind, he did a very bad job. Malays would call it 'asal boleh'. Doesn't matter if the wires are dangling, as long as the bloody lights light up. Doesn't matter if people get electrocuted while bathing, as long as there's a powerpoint socket IN the bathroom for the heater. Yes, THAT kind of job quality and I got SO mad seeing all these coz well, he didn't use his brains did he? And poor Wan had a hard time rectifying his mistakes. Anyway, Wan was fixing the lights and tripped electricity for the whole flat. Nice.
3. The water heater tank was installed last week but it's not working yet because there's no powerpoint to connect the heater. Since last week, we were taking turns to call and harrass the bathroom supplier coz everytime she promised the electrician would come and fix the powerpoint, he NEVER TURNED UP.
*sigh*
Anyway, just for a little fun, I did a quiz from this website http://www.sproost.com/ . It tells you what's your decorating style like, coz fickle minded ppl like me can never make up our minds. And the results were pretty accurate. Apparently, I'm 70% Modern Elegance and 30% Contemporary. I don't like clutter and prefer clean lines and large spaces with natural lighting. But at the same time, I like to mix and match furnitures so as not to give off a very cold and uninviting feel.

On a totally different note, I unknowingly asked a man whom I haven't met for 10 years, out on a date. I'm f*cking insane!
