Shopaholic (Not!)

If there's one word, I will never describe myself, it would be shopaholic. Ah huh, u heard me right. I window shop, yes, but to go on a serious shopping spree.. Hmm.. rarely.. Never! Not even when I'm feeling down. Retail therapy doesn't work wonders for me unlike chocolate & caffeine. The only time I shop is when I desperately needed something. When I'm left with a drop of foundation or a tiny crack of compact powder. Or like yesterday when I forced myself to shop for a pair of comfortable working shoes after I've discarded my much beloved busuk & full of holes silver pumps 5 days ago. I've been surviving on my red pair of crocs but soon realised they don't match with most of my working clothes. So yesterday, with lots of determination (& money) I walked to the nearest Bata shop with hopes of buying at least 3 pairs. And of course, it didn't surprise me that I ended up with ONLY one.

I think the reason for my lack of female shopping hormones could be due to my overload of female cerewet hormones. I AM a very fussy person. Things have to be done in a certain way, with a certain look. I have criterias even when I shop, for clothes especially. I'm so fussy, sometimes I want to shoot myself..haha.

First & foremost, the clothes have to FIT. In this tiny little country with tiny little people, it's difficult to find plus size clothes. Then, I have to source something decent to go along with the tudung. Not too short, not too revealing but modern enough for office wear.. And after that, I will deliberate over & over again about spending money on colours. See, there's this colour code I have to adhere to at work and that is only BLACK. Oklah actually we are also allowed whites & greys but I dun have the confidence to wear these ok? So it's heart pain to spend on colours coz I dun get to wear them to work & I rarely go out on weekends. And lastly, they have to be reasonably priced… Bata = cheap, see ?? Being fashionable takes a lot of maintenance & kaching! I'm still saving my ass off after wiping my bank account clean for the wedding.

But lately I'm sick of my wardrobe. I BADLY needed to update! And so I finally succumb to online shopping for plus size clothes. I've been refraining myself shopping from these sites coz I don't want to compromise and buy bigger clothes when infact I should try to be smaller. But I somehow managed to psycho myself, plus if I charge to my credit card now, the bill only comes end of the month which is just in time we receive our GST credits! So technically, the gahmen pays for my clothes. See, it all works out well!

Guess how many I ordered?

Just ONE! Haha.. :p

Next,.. my wallet's badly torn & tattered! Can someone *looks at Wan* pleaseeeee buy me a spanking new leather wallet??? :(
