Jam, Bread and Butter Story

It was so unfortunate. For weeks we've been zooming in and out of Johor with ease on Wan's bike every Saturday. And we've learnt the pattern. MUST go in before noon and be out between 8.30 to 9 pm. No hick-ups. No jams.

However, last Saturday, our prediction wasn't accurate at all. We were shocked to discover a massive jam built up at the motorcycles lanes upon reaching the Singapore checkpoint.

*sigh*

It was this huge crowd of motorcyles, all squeezed together and angry motorcyclists honking at each other while perspiring under the hot, humid weather and smelly fumes. All these motorcycles were trying to get into the 2 lanes leading to the passport counters. We decided not to join in the crowd and parked by the side of the road till the jam subsides.

We really donch understand. Saturday nites aren't supposed to be this bad. Sundays are. It's when M'sians who work in S'pore make their way here coz Monday's a working day. We were once stuck in the jam for 2 hours on a Sunday nite sometime last month. The jam started to build up at 10pm and ICA officers have not changed shift till 11pm so, many counters were closed. It was horrible. I reached home at 12.30am and the next day, I immediately made a complain to ICA for not anticipating such jams on a Sunday nite. Bodoh.

So what now? We can't go in on a Friday nite coz we'll be stuck in the jam with all the m'sian workers who are going back home. We can't go in on a Sunday. Now we can't go in a Saturday. SO when can we go iiinnnnnnnn???

Luckily we've got some Dunkin' Donuts, a bottle of mineral water and mp3 songs to keep us occupied. Damn, I hate jams!
