So a few days b4 brother's wedding we were all gathering at my aunty's place and suddenly everyone started joining in this "guess the baby gender" game. The youngest, my 4 year old nephew voted for a girl. The oldest, my 62 year old Wak Boh voted for a boy. We told them the ones with the correct votes will get a small present at birth day!
We've also tried other ridiculous guessing games. The rice counting. Grab a small handful of rice and if the grains are even = girl, odd = boy. Or the ring over tummy method. Attach the ring to a thread and let it swing over belly. If it goes circular = girl. If it goes pendulum = boy. And we've even checked out the Chinese baby prediction chart which gives the gender based on mom's age at month of conception.
This being our 1st child, we'll be glad with whatever Allah gives. But if u really wanna know, both Wan & I have been secretly harbouring for a girl. For me, it's just so much fun to play dress up with a girl. For Wan, he's even more bias claiming girls are closer to daddies. Whatever it is, I just pray for a healthy child.
I'm 17 weeks + today and I'm feeling generally ok, tho' I try not too walk so much. Walked too much get swollen ankle. Sit too long my tailbone hurts like hell.. apparently as the baby grows, it's pressing on my back nerves. Anyway i'm very excited.. going for my scan tomorrow! Pls show mummy, baby.. can't wait to start shopping for u!
