Well, this is how it started. I was nagged to death. Literally, by my mother. One day she got so fed-up thinking her 'subtle hints' fell onto deaf ears and finally smsed me in much frustration.. "GO MAKE BABY LAH!!"... lol, yeah in CAPS no less. But anyway this is how we found out.
I have a pretty regular cycle and after a week my period hasnt made its appearance, i decided to test. I quickly grabbed a pregnancy test strip and peed and within 10 mins... a faint pink line slowly crept up!

We were of course happy but a bit cautious as we still need to get a doctor's confirmation, which we did the very next morning. And hell, I met the worst GP ever in my life!
We went to Raffles Women's Clinic at TampinesOne because I knew they have the facility to conduct a pregnancy blood test. So basically, this woman is not my regular GP. The moment we entered the consultation room, I greeted and this unfriendly looking, old mamak lady didn't even have a courtesy to reply. So I sat myself and she looked and nod at me like, "so.. what's the problem?". So I started the ball rolling and told her the whole story and said I wanted a blood test confirmation. And she went.. 'why?" I shot her this shocked look.. WHY?? WHY??
Then she went like oh, it's not necessary..home test are good enough.. Blood test is only done when u get -ve on the home test, ..blah, blah, blah.. But she did take my BP, which was perfectly fine and gave a lists of to dos and what not to do. She calculated that I was 5 weeks along and sent me away with some vits. But I felt so gutted not getting a blood test!!
Anyway, since the witch said home test is good enough and the line on the hpts kept getting darker ( see below.. I continued testing every few days), my dear husband was finally over the moon! Me, I still have a few worries and I have a feeling I'll continue worrying abt my baby till.. forever. Now we are just waiting to see a gynae for a scan in a month's time.. to be cont.
