Starting of a Family - 2nd Month

Well, what do ya know.. we didn''t wait a month for our 1st gynae checkup. Or rather we couldn't..

2 days ago, after peeing, I wiped and saw a teeny-weeny brown discharge. I instantly panicked and woke Wan abruptly from his nap. Told him that i was spotting,got dressed and flew out of the door in no time. I called TMC on our way there asking if there's any gynae available now, seeing that it was a public holiday, and the recep said they have one on-call and she will get him down to the hospital immediately. Upon reaching TMC the same recep told us there would be surcharge of a min $300 for calling the gynae on PH. We were so shocked! We said no thanks and ran back to the car to go KKH. OMG, it's amazing how a maternity hospital doesn't even have a single gynae on duty!

Thankfully KKH was only a short drive away and we went straight into the 24 hours women's clinic and before we know, a lady gynae was attending to us. And boy was I glad. I'm NOT going to spread my legs in front of some strange man!!

So the gynae did an ultrasound scan and said she could only see a waterbag but not the fetus and considering i'm only 6 weeks, she assured us this was a common sight. By then too I stopped spotting. But she was concern tho' with my blood pressure. It wasn't very high but slightly above normal. Well I reckoned the running and panicking made my heart pumped like mad and in fact, I jus finished my lunch prior to discovering the spotting. So I have to come back for more BP tests just to make sure i'm free from preeclampsia. Right now i'm on hormone pills to stablise the pregnancy... stick baby, stick!
