Making of a Home - Part 6

Oh, my poor legs are extremely sore from overwalking. Erm, if there is such a word as 'overwalking'.. orang lari marathon pon kaki tak sakit gini.. Hahaha. It's actually too much walking + heels + fat body = sore legs

Anyway, if you had read the title.. yes, we are still not done with the house. Hmm, how to if we only buy 1 furniture every mth (read: payday). After a disappointing trip to Sungei Kadut, (can you imagine us not finding a suitable dining table or sofa in a area full of cheap furniture warehouses???!) we made a point to keep our weekends free for more bargain hunting and still, it's rather disappointing..

1. sofa - Found and paid! But shipment only comes 1st week of Sep
2. tv console - Found! But too bloody ex. Didn't buy in the end.
3. storage chest - Found! Going back this coming weekend to purchase
4. mirrors - Found! Going back this coming weekend to purchase
5. bathroom mirrors - Found but no stock.
6. Lighting - Found 3 ceiling lights and purchased them at a darn good price! We love GSS!
7. dining table and computer table. See below..

At the top of our list is the dining table which sadly, we didn't find any that we both like! They were either too expensive or just the right price but with hits and misses. As the salesperson was trying hard convincing us to buy the table.. " oh ma'am, this table is good coz…blahblahblah…. and CHEAP". " You should get it now coz …blahblahblah………. and CHEAP". And all the while, Wan and I were sitting there mentally listing all the things that were wrong with those tables..

Actually, we found this perfect dining table at Vhive Tanjong Katong last month. Reasonable price, very sturdy and esthetically pleasing. And also this Vhive computer table that we really like. BUT it wasn't payday yet so we left and promised to return when our wallets are fatter. So last Saturday we went to Vhive TK and guess wat??

It was their last day there and the showroom was practically empty save for a few display pieces on sale! And THE PERFECT DINING TABLE WAS SOLD! :( But, but, but, the computer table we wanted was still there! So we quickly, quickly kancheong spider checked the table and paid for it. And it was a such good deal! When we 1st saw, the price was S$239, then it was slashed to $169 and then to $139 and guess how much we paid? $109!! :D
