.. and life moves on..

*Sigh* Where do I begin?

OK, so the last time I wrote was a month ago when I tendered my resignation. Since then, life has been so hectic and and it got worse nearing the final countdown coz I had to quickly close last month's accounts, finalise the financial schedules and at the same time, do a complete handover. A day before I left, I sent out a farewell email which goes like this..

In fact tomorrow will be my last day and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for making my time here enjoyable. And on that note, can I just quickly mention how fantastic Facebook is! Guess who I met?? My long-lost favourite poly lecturer! He had left the teaching profession and migrated to Australia. I missed him SO much and we have been corresponding via emails now, updating each other's lives. How cool is that?! He was the reason I enjoyed my poly years. This guy believed in me and gave me opportunities to learn and develop. He appointed me as Class Chairman and I was the only Malay around. He's wise and respectable and funny... too bad he wasn't boyfriend material :p Well, he's so unlike SOMEONE who kept repeating to my face, that just because I wear tudung, no one wants to employ me. Just because I don't make it to NUS, I won't get a good job. And worse, just because I'm a MALAY, I won't get anywhere in life. You'll be shocked if I were to reveal this person's identity..

Anyway, let's go back to where we left off.. oh where were we?? Ah yesss.. me leaving the job. And so, being a responsible individual (cheh!) I made extra sure that I've completed ALL my to-do lists before the last day but my loooovely boss (honestly, he IS lovely..) chose that particular day, to pick my brains and take down notes all the way from morning to evening! It was tiring as hell but we had a sweet ending coz some of my close colleagues threw me a farewell dinner..

And I brought them a lil something in return. Yeah.. it felt like Xmas!

Then, I had only Saturday and Sunday to get things sorted out for the new job. Went for medical check-up and a killer shopping spree!

So what's next?...

Hmmm.. budgets, budgets & more budgets, CPA exams, driving lessons, driving test, pre-marriage course (muahaha..) and of course! A planned vacation end of this year! Wohoo!
