So little did I imagine, that our turn is just the following year. Finally, I had a real reason to be at these wedding exhibitions. Last Friday nite, I was in sheer excitement. Wan and I reached the S'pore Expo around 7.30pm and we scoured the place. Lucky for us, there weren't many people so we went from one booth to another, took our own sweet time to browse through the albums and bombard them with a thousand and one questions. Our trip turned out to be fruitful and we left at 11pm with Wan feeling all relieved and me, ermm.. a little awed-struck.
I made a second trip to the exhibition again the next day to settle some unfinished business. Wan gave me a lift on his bike and left me with the girls. Looking at the crowd from the parking lot I asked Wan, "Aren't you glaaad that you donch haf to be in there?" To which he replied with a prompt YES.
The place was jammed packed. Besides being a Saturday evening, it is also a known fact that Malays love weddings. There were the Dah Kahwin crowd, Nak Kahwin crowd and Dah Berangan Nak Kahwin crowd (You should know which category I belong to..). Fortunately, we made the right decision to come on a Friday nite. Due to my extremely low level of tolerance, there's an extremely high possibility I might end up cursing some makcik for stepping on my gigantic toes.
But I'm glad I came anyway. Coz there was a mini wedding procession going on, with Kuda Kepangs at the front, leading both bride and groom to the dias and the Kompang entourage trailing behind. It was so lovely!
I lurve the bride's makeup and wedding costume. I kneeew I made the right choice!
