Check out Alisah's spiky hair!. & that frown! ..& e youngest hero in e family, 9 days' old Hazuin
Our hari raya starts off a little late this year. At 12 pm, i was still clad in t-shirt & shorts hehehe.. and unlike other families whose hari raya begins with e ritual of begging for forgiveness and cryin' themselves sore, my family haf neva practised such traditions. Ours is much simplier. Every morning raya, all sins are automatically forgiven. No need to beg..khrherhe.. But what we DO practise every year is kinda diff. In this household, e guests usually comes in small groups, every 2 hours or so. So whenever a set of guests leave, we will change our baju kurungs into sthg more comfortable (due to e humid weather) while waiting for e nx guests to arrive. Guess wat happens when e doorbell starts to ring? All of us jumped to our feet, sprawling all over e place like mice looking for baju kurung, bras, underwear, songkok.. khkrhekher Even my mom who's having athritis sprinted like as if she's running for Olympics!!
But i do learnt a lot abt my family thru conversations wif my aunties and uncles this hari raya, like who hated who, who were e bitchy ones during their younger days, who was the most stylish and i found out My Dearest Mummy bagged e award for the Most Rebellious.. ( there, I knew i got IT from her!! HMMpfh~.. ) One of my aunties told me how my mom used to fight wif my great-grandma and went on hunger strikes & refusing to sleep for days. And she always got away wif it coz apparently, out of all e 8 grandchildren, my great-grandma adore my mom the most. And check this. My aunty told me my mom was so daring, she wore mini skirts and sleveless dresses in her twenties, which i dun even get to wear!!! .. haiz~ parents these days ah~ *shakes head*
