Yesterday evening while i was scanning my library books at the checkout counter, suddenly a female figure walked towards me & said hi. I was shocked. Bcoz for e past 10 years that i have lived in Geylang East, not even once haf i met a fren in e library nx door. Who would want to visit this tiny, secluded, lack-of-romance-novels library when there's big, sophiscated ones like Orchard and Marine Parade where e moment u stepped in, e whole place is seeping wif wonderful aroma fr e Starbucks counter. But i haf to admit when it comes to ambience, nuthin beats like this humble library. No massive crowds, no children running abt. Clean, quiet and peaceful. The way libraries shd be.
